Inflation hits Kona Ken’s coffee Big Time!
I haven’t raised my prices in years. However recently every one of my costs went up significantly! So much so that it didn’t make sense to continue unless I changed my pricing structure. Adding the optical sorting process to the green bean coffee sorting/filtering process makes the coffee consistently great. It adds to the cost that most other kona coffee producers choose not to use. Fuel cost (gas, diesel, and propane). Labor cost, material costs (bags, labels, you name it). Even transportation costs to bring materials to Hawaii, etc. have all ballooned up.
